At 7xDigiDollars, we stand ready to empower every citizen of Africa — regardless of bank access or smartphone — to protect and grow their hard-earned money. By delivering a USSD-based stable-coin wallet, we bridge the gap between inflation-ravaged local currencies and the security of the U.S. dollar and/or Bitcoin, all through the simple GSM phone menus that everyone already uses on this continent to top up their airtime.
Our Story
Founded by telecom veterans and fintech pioneers, 7xDigiDollar began with a sudden insight: millions of Africans top up airtime via USSD every day, yet they have no easy, safe way to hold dollar-value.
Often the victims of distressed local currencies, they resort to trading in airtime to lock in value before inflation erodes their wages to nothing.
Offline, they prefer the risk of theft holding scarce and grubby dollar notes, over keeping local paper in their wallets.
We said, "this is crazy!"
The solution was suddenly so obvious — we repurpose the USSD tool everyone already uses and turn it into a life-changing savings resource.
This initiative goes beyond a great business idea — it's critical for the most vulnerable people at a possibly the greatest watershed moment in financial history.
